January 1-March 31, 2013 Monthly Comparison

The REALTORS Association of York & Adams Counties (RAYAC) reports that a total of 834 homes were sold in the first two months of 2013, a 10% increase from 2012.

Second month in a row with West Shore school district having the largest increase (56%) in sales price $162,450 compared to $104,000 last year. Eastern with the largest increase (56%) in homes sold, 39 compared to 25 in 2012.

March 2012/March 2013 Comparison Housing Stats for York and Adams County

In York County 356 homes were sold in March 2013, a 31% increase from 2012.

Eastern school district having the largest sales increase (102%) $176,900 compared to $87,500 in March 2012. York City with the largest increase (135%) in homes sold, 40 compared to 17 in March 2012. Read more

The REALTORS Association of York & Adams Counties (RAYAC) reports that a total of 469 homes were sold in the first two months of 2013, a 1% decrease from 2012.

West Shore school district having the largest increase (35%) in sales price $132,000 compared to $98,000 last year. North Eastern with the largest increase (63%) in homes sold, 39 compared to 24 in 2012.

February 2012/February 2013 Comparison Housing Stats for York and Adams County

In York County 217 homes were sold in February 2013, a 11% decrease from 2012.

Spring Grove school district having the largest sales increase (86%) $135,000 compared to $72,500 in Februray 2012. North Eastern with the largest increase (75%) in homes sold, 21 compared to 12 in February 2012. Read more

Southern school district an increase of 27% in sales price $177,500 compared to $140,000 last year. Two school districts tied for the largest increase in number of homes sold in January. 2012 Annual Market Report for York and Adams Counties

RAYAC reports that REALTORS in 2012 sold 3,848 homes in York County for a total dollar volume of $602,475,365. This reflects an 11% increase in the number of homessold compared to 2011. The total dollar volume reflected an 11% increase compared to 2011 sales. For the full report click here

The REALTORS Association of York & Adams Counties (RAYAC) reports that a total of 2816 homes were sold in 2012 in York County, a 6% increase from 2011. Two school districts tied for the highest increase. Northern school district an increase of 8% in sales price $210,000 compared to $195,000 last year and Southern school district an increase of 8% in sales price $201,000 compared to $186,750 last year. Northern with the largest increase (30%) in homes sold, 79 compared to 61 in 2011.
September 2012 Housing Stats for York and Adams County
266 homes were sold in September 2012, a 9% decrease from 2011.

York City school district having the largest sales increase (60%) $41,500 compared to $26,000 in September 2011. York Suburban with the largest increase (133%) in homes sold, 21 compared to 9 in September 2011.

The REALTORS Association of York & Adams Counties (RAYAC) reports that a total of 2526 homes were sold in 2012 in York County, an 8% increase from 2011. Northern school district having the largest increase (19%) in sales price $207,500 compared to $175,000 last year. West York with the largest increase (33%) in homes sold, 192 compared to 144 in 2011.

In York County 349 homes were sold in August 2012, a 8% increase from 2011.

Northern school district having the largest sales increase (27%) $184,900 compared to $146,000 in August 2011. North Eastern with the largest increase (73%) in homes sold, 26 compared to 15 in August 2011.

The REALTORS Association of York & Adams Counties (RAYAC) reports that a total of 2155 homes were sold in 2012 in York County, an 8% increase from 2011. Southern school district having t

he largest increase (6%) in sales price $195,470 compared to $185,000 last year. Northern again with the largest increase (56%) in homes sold, 64 compared to 41 in 2011.

July 2012 Housing Stats for York and Adams County

In York County 342 homes were sold in July 2012, a 13% increase from 2011.

Southern school district having the largest increase (21%) $194,250 compared to $159,900 in July 2011. West York with the largest increase (67%) in homes sold, 25 compared to 15 in July 2011.

A total of 1397 homes were sold in 2012 in York County, an 5% increase from last year. Dover school district having the largest increase (12%)  in sales price $145,000 compared to $130,000 in 2011. West Shore with the largest increase (31%) in homes sold, 51 compared to 39  in 2011.

 

May 2012 Housing Stats

311 homes were sold in May 2012, compared to 315 sold in 2011, a 1% decrease over last year. The median sales price in York County was $146,500, a 2% increase from 2011. York City school district having the largest increase (40%)  $51,000 compared to $36,350 in May 2011. Northeastern with the largest increase (120%) in homes sold, 22 compared to 10 in May 2011.

January-April 2012 Housing Stats

A total of 1073 homes were sold in 2012 in York County, an 8% increase from last year. Dover school district having the largest increase (12%)  in sales price $145,000 compared to $129,950 in 2011. South Western with the largest increase (42%) in homes sold, 74 compared to 52  in 2011.

294 homes were sold in April 2012, compared to 293 sold in 2011, virtually unchanged.

York and Adams Counties March 2012 Housing Stats

The REALTORS Association of York & Adams Counties (RAYAC) reports:
“A total of 130 homes were sold in Adams County in the first three months of 2012,  a 6% increase from 2011. In York County 759 homes were sold in 2012, a 10% increase from 2011.

The median sales price in Adams County was $149,995, a 1% decrease from last year.

The median sale price in York County was $132,500, which is practically unchanged from 2011.”

“The overall numbers continue to be encouraging although we are not quite ready to proclaim a trend. We are concerned about sales statistics for York City. Clearly property tax reform is needed,” stated John LeCates RAYAC President. He added, “The median sales price is only a reflection of the homes which sold during this time frame.”
